Area
This property is situated in the historical town of Rochechouart which has a large beautiful chateau, paved streets and church with twisted spire. This was the impact site of a meteorite 250 000 000 years ago which in parts can still be seen today!
Property
This property was an old coach house back in the 17th century. Lots of history in this house with lots of original features to be seen. There are two entrances which divides the main house from the 2 appartments.
For the main house on the ground floor you have a large entrance hall of 30m2 which has a 1.5m wide staircase stretching up 3 floors to the attic. From the entrance hall there is the large fitted kitchen/diner (30m2) and a 30m2 lounge/diner with original oak flooring. On the 1st floor there are 3 bedrooms, bathroom and toilet. 2nd floor of another 90m2 to renovate and then up to the attic to convert.
From the kitchen you get to the 20m long terrace which has lovely views over the countryside. From the terrace you have a double stone staircase down into the 1000m2 garden with outbuildings. On this level you can access the 2 large cellars, one vaulted.
Through the second entrance there is the 1st appartment with kitchen, lounge, toilet, on the 1st floor there are 2 bedrooms and bathroom accessed by its own internal staircase. On the 2nd floor we have the 1 bedroom appartment. Again, on the 3rd floor a large attic to convert if you wish!
All in all the property covers around 450m2 in total. Ideal for just a rental/gite income or modified into a large Chambres d'hotes.
Features
This type property is rare in the region of Rochechouart. To be close to the centre of a beautiful town while having large gardens and income from rentals is not easy to find which makes this a good buy for anyone wanting to make a permanent move while having a way of making an income.
