Perassay is in the Indre(region 36), Val De Loire,Centre. It is a typical French village with all local ammenities. Small shop with fresh bread delivered at noon each day, bar/restaurant,post office/bank, primary school, village hall, large picnic area with benches, football pitch, a school bus to secondary school picks up in the village. Plenty of other small villages around and in walking distance, with designated walks mapped out if you like to explore the countryside and lovely views.
Paris is 3 hours away and Le Harve is 5 hours away by car. There are 2 airports within 1.5-2 hours drive away. Chateauroux is 50 mins and has a main train station. The village has a bus service. Close by is the historic town of La Chatre which has everything you need as well a weekly local market, as do most of the towns and villages near by, which sells local produce, livestock and clothes etc.
A 20 min drive will take you to a natural lake with a manmade beach, views, wonderful walks, cafe, toilets, camping, picnic area, sailing, swimming and pedlo's all with lifeguard supervision
The house was built by the previous owner and has a hand built oak staircase. Every room has high ceilings with large windows and shutters. The house is totally habitable but needs some finishing touches and decorating through out. It was rented by a gentleman over a 3 month period prior to christmas. It is set in the centre of a quiet village with a front garden with grape vine and large back garden with various fruit trees and bushes. The back view is of fields and open countryside. The total area of land is 900msq.
The front door opens to an entrance hall (5'6x11'9) with a tiled floor and a cupboard for coats and shoes. This leads to the lounge (14'10x13'5) with working fireplace and oak parquet flooring and the kitchen(12'7x13'5) which has a breakfast bar and new fitted kitchen. Tiling needs to be done behind the sink and 3 wall units need to be hung. From the kitchen is the dining room/fifth bedroom (13'4x13'8) with working fireplace and oak parquet flooring. There is another hall way leading to the back garden. It also leads to the shower room (6'10x17'7) which has a working shower. This room needs up dating and there is a new shower and cubicle which needs to be plumbed in. There is a door to the cellar (13'2x31') which houses the heating system and steps up to the back garden. lighting supplied. the toilet is by the back door at the bottom of the staircase.
Upstairs has a galleried landing (6'9x18') with rear facing window and oak flooring throughout. The single room is rear facing (7'3x18'1) and needs plastering. The master bedroom (14'4x14'2) and dressing room (3'6x9'2) has had alot of work done but still needs plastering . It has french doors looking out over rear facing countryside and fields. A gorgeous view to wake up to. The 2 double bedrooms are front facing (14x14'6) and only need decorating.
Attached to the side of the house is the workshop and loft (both 24'2x15'10) which has electricity and would be ideal for a conversion for renting. Behind the workshop is the outbuildings (15'11x26'2) and beside that is the garage (16'x21') with double doors and drive with double gates..
This house has to be viewed as the photo's and description do not show the full character, charm and potential that this house offers. It is fully habitable with plenty of on going improvments, not too large, for the budding d.i.y enthusiast to do in his spare time. We are open to offers.
